Welcome Message from Asian AOMS
Dear Colleagues,
As the Executive Director of the Asian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (Asian AOMS), it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 17th Asian Congress of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ACOMS), which will take place from March 26 to 29, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre under the esteemed presidency of Professor Mike Yiu Yan Leung.
This marks the second time our congress will be held in Hong Kong, following the successful event in 2006 under the leadership of Professor Nabil Samman. Since its establishment in 1989, the mission of Asian AOMS has been to advance the quality and standards of oral and maxillofacial surgery across Asia. Over the years, our association has experienced remarkable growth, now encompassing approximately 2,700 members from 32 countries, including regions beyond Asia.
Hong Kong has played a pivotal role in the development of oral and maxillofacial surgery over the past 37 years, making it a fitting location for this important gathering once again. As a dynamic and international city, Hong Kong provides the perfect backdrop for fostering academic exchange, professional collaboration, and cultural enrichment.
I firmly believe that through engaging symposia, insightful lectures, and meaningful personal interactions, this congress will deepen our collective knowledge and inspire new advancements in our field. Moreover, I am confident that the 17th ACOMS will pave the way for a bright future in oral and maxillofacial surgery, not only within Asia but globally.
Thank you for your participation. I look forward to the stimulating discussions and fruitful collaborations that await us.
Warm regards,
Dr. Tetsu Takahashi
Executive Director
Asian Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons
